highend-pcdoctor
My SATA cables (one for the Samsung 850 Pro SSD O/S drive, one for the Samsung 850 Pro 2 TB (music drive) were replaced with the Pachanko SATA cables. My immediate impression of the Pachanko cables was that it improved the sound quality of my music server. After almost 3 weeks of listening, the cables have revealed itself to be a superb component in my server. Better tonal balance, wider and deeper soundstage, 3D sound, detailed, micro percussions are more revealed with the Pachanko SATA cables, very easy to listen to, no glare, or digital edginess. The Pachanko SATA cables greatly improved my sound quality in my Audio-PC. highend-pcdoctor
Compared Pachanko USB Digital "Absolution" cable to the Pranawire Proton USB yesterday and the audience agreed that the Pachanko had a better top to bottom SQ than the way more expensive Pranawire 1.2 meter cable. highend-pcdoctor
I have used the Pachanko SATA cables and many of my friends and associates have used both the Pachanko Digital "Sata/Mk2" (Red) and Pachanko Digital "Sata Reference" (Black) without any issues, the improvement is sound quality has been vetted and confirmed by all who installed them. I am now using the Sata Reference on my O/S SSD and Music SSD. Very highly recommended. highend-pcdoctor
IMO and at least 10 others who have compared the "stock" SATA cables to the modified cables from Pachanko, PPA and JCat, there is an immediate improvement when the stock SATA cables were replaced with the better quality SATA, that being said, the Pachanko came out the winner each time. highend-pcdoctor
Hi Alex,JCAT SATA is 40cm and I only need about half this length. AFAIK the standard SATA cables that came with the MOBO are all 6bps. I am assuming this as the MOBO has only SATA III 6gbs ports. I do not know if they are double shielded. Is the shielding part of the SATA III spec? The JCAT SATA was a noticeble SQ improvement Good to know, thanks Which PPA was it? Pity no-one has compared Pachanko to JCAT. I believe PPA makes JCAT cables so it might be interesting to know which PPA it was and therefore if it is the same cable used by JCAT. I do know that the JCAT reference *usb* cable has some differences to the PPA version ie it is made especially for JCAT that way. We had three folks do an A/B/A listening session with the PPA Sarah, PPA Black and the Pachanko SATA, In all the tests the Pachanko SATA was the clear winner, however the PPA Black was a close second, but costs much more than the Pachanko SATA. highend-pcdoctor
Appreciating the discussion here. I've just converted to dedicated PC with lots of trials on PC parts, power, software etc. Using fidelizer pro, AO, and Roon now. Alpha USB and DAC II to CJ ART's and Amphion 7L's. Shunyata/Nordost cabling and conditioning. While fidelizer, AO and PP's USB card are really significant improvements, I'm suprised by the improvements coming from linear power to my NAS, a strikingly clear difference, and sotm filters on fans and SSD. From the discussion here, I guess I need PP sata cables. Has anyone had similar results from LAN cables? Thanks, Jim Highly recommend you try the Pachanko Red or Black "Reference" SATA cables, he also has LAN cables that will be worth trying. highend-pcdoctor
I recently purchased the Pachanko Signature bi-wire (3 meters) speaker cables. Immediately it beat the Synergistic Research Signature 10 bi-wire with the Galileo active shielding power supply. After the recommended 300-400 hours break-in the depth and with of the soundstage was so involving, it was like being at the live performances. Details are to die for, so much more information was revealed using the Pachanko speaker cables. I can say highly recommend these cables, they are truly a major improvement in my system. highend-pcdoctor
The Pachanko SATA have locking clips, that stay securely connected. If yo require angled connectors you only need to let Chan know those are the terminators you need, and he will supply the product with your request. I have put the Pachanko Red SATA against the PPA Black and also the PPA Sarah and during the shootout the Pachanko Red was the clear winner; as stated by the panel of listeners. The Pachanko Reference Black blows all other SATA out the water, for the price to SQ satisfaction there should be no hesitation to get one or more for your music server(s). highend-pcdoctor
Did anyone try the new Pachanko "Pure Reference" sata cable? I have two installed on my SSDs (O/S and Music drives) Was using the Reference before upgrading to the Pure Reference. The Pure Reference is more open and airy, also more details than the Reference model. The Reference is a great sounding cable, but the Pure Reference is definitely a step above all others. It is like comparing a 2017 BMW 530i to the 2017 BMW 540i, both are great, but the 540i is a really nice step above with more torque and bang. Recommended!!! Popular Post highend-pcdoctor
Did a comparison between the PPA Black and the Pachanko SATA Reference and everyone present agreed that the clear winner was the Pachanko SATA cable, I have since started using the Pure Reference and I can categorically say the Pure Reference has taken the sound quality in my system to a new high. The Pachanko SATA cables are very easy to work with, they are flexible and does not put any pressure on the Motherboard or Hard Drive SATA connections. highend-pcdoctor
Hello wushuliu, I agree with Phil, my experience with the Pachanko SATA cables needs 250 hours of music playing through them before they bloom and starts to excel. I'm happy user of Pachanko Reference and Pure Reference cables and was using these cables since they showed up. Sometimes it is hard to imanage how already great sound could transform for better especialy when we talk about digital cables. I have tested the latest creation of Pachanko - Aphelion SATA and boy it is awesome. If you're not familiar with astronomy, Aphelion is the point in the elliptical orbit of a planet where it is farthest from the sun. Imanage that you are the planet, the Sun is music and the orbit is your room. And it's good way to describe it. This is the first quality that undeniably showing when I plug this cable in - The depth perspective. Never had in my system so much of it! The sound with Aphelion becomes "liquid" like water but the tones are very natural. It just gives you more of this "realism" what we all are after for. Literally can't turn off the music... Amazing achievement once again! I am have been using Pachanko SATA and other cables for quite some time, started with the SATA MKII, then replaced the MKII with the Reference SATA when it became available, I moved up to the Pure Reference SATA later, for every upgrade I did the SQ made a big leap forward, noise floor was reduced with each upgrade, also the sonics, soundstage depth and width improved. Definitely the icing on the cake is the move to the Aphelion SATA, I could hear an improvement in the sound quality within a few minutes after replacing the Pure Reference with the Aphelion, the sound kept getting better the longer I play the music with the new Aphelion SATA cable. There is more openness to the performances, more spaciousness around the performers, even more depth and width in the soundstage. My 23' x 17' listening room seemed even bigger than it is with the new cable. I listened to the Eva Cassidy Nightbird CD as my reference, listening and comparing the two Pachanko cables (Pure Reference and Aphelion) on tracks "Ain't no Sunshine", "Fields of Gold", "Stormy Monday", and "Wonderful World", the Aphelion was definitely the winner. The acoustics of the Blues Alley Jazz Club was more revealing on the Aphelion than the Pure Reference. After the Aphelion was in for more than 100 hours I invited some friends over to validate what I was hearing with the differences between the two cables, and they all agreed that the new Aphelion SATA was the clear winner. I highly recommend the Pachanko Aphelion SATA cable!!!!
