Dirac Problems with Windows 10

Recommended Posts

I installed the Live Calibration program and it crashes immediately upon open with the message "Live Calibration has stopped working". I also tried the Audio Processor and got the following "Failed to connect to Dirac Process Server" I sent off the log files to Dirac as they requested to look into the problem. I am wondering if anyone here has had the same problem. Here are the log files for the controiller:

Yes, we are aware that several users are having problems with Windows 10 and we are looking into it in order to find what triggers this issue.

We will update this thread as soon as we will have news... it may take some time though :-(

Thanks for your patience,

I suddenly had exactly the same symptoms you describe, although I did not compare the logs. But, I was using Win 7. The solution was to uninstall JRiver 21:

Dirac and JRiver 21: DAP Rescan for new devices breaks DAP

Dirac not Working

If you are using JRiver 21, try JR20 instead, which works fine. Some more testing of 21 is necessary to verify what is specifically causing the conflict.

I have notified Dirac Tech Support of these threads, as I have an open ticket on these problems.

How do unistall MC 21 and reinstall MC 20? Will I lose anything?

Yup, JR 21.0.17 gave no Dirac problems after I downloaded and installed. I always make sure DAP is fully closed before I do that. But, restarting DAP or DLCT were normal.

Yes, it looks like JRiver 21.0.15 was causing problems that have now been solved by JR 21.0.17

  • 2 months later...

I'm pleased to inform that the release candidate of Dirac Live 1.2 for Windows that fixes some issues is now available for testing from helpdesk.dirac.se
