John C Freeman
My apple tv, that I am trying to use as a streamer for music does not want to play nice my exturnal hard drive (drive letter D ) that contains my music. I tried what apple says yet it seems revert to the C drive all the time. Any suggestions? The C drive does have a small amount of music on it and it is a SSD drive. Thanks, Link to comment
Audio_ELF
You cannot connect a drive direct to an Apple TV. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
wgscott
You can jail-break it and mount it via nfs, or possibly other protocols. I think the OP may be using iTunes as server, and only sees music library files that are physically located on one of the drives. Link to comment
