iFi USB - Is it required for a music only laptop???

Hi

 

Stupid question but had to ask - I have read with interest about the advantages of the iFi USB power cleaner since laptops/PCs USB power supply is not supposedly reliable......My question is - if we use a laptop with Win 7 for music only and use a Fidelizer to stop unnecessary programs,does the iFi USB power supply still make a difference??? Whatever the power supply, does the USB always give bad power supply even when the laptop does not have many tasks to do??

If your question is really whether you will hear a difference with the device in your audio system (regardless of what it does or what it is supposed to do or what other people hear) then you will need to try it.

In that case, it will be too expensive as the Indian dealer does not accept returns like musicdirect.com and the Indian pricing is 20% higher than American retail....

 

Would stick to my current system and not worry to much...
