Hello

Newbie question

I am having plops, clicks, static? almost like vinyl record

It happens with SDM (Loki upsampled to DSD64) and PCM (Altmann dac upsampled to 24/192)

Everything else works perfect (USB out)

Think it is not my Acer i5 quad core since it uses not more than 20% CPU during playback

I use a CM6631A (Chinese) spdif bridge for PCM side and Loki has the same chip inside for DSD

Somewhere in this thread i noticed the same remark but did not find a solution

Hello guys

It is not the Hqplayer

This is the best sounding player ever

Audacious (Linux) and Pureplayer (Windows7) were special, but this is fabulous

I found the problem, hardware Acer i5 or software Ubuntu Studio?

Also own an Asus i7 Ubuntu 14.04 No clicks, plops or static (dust) with like vinyl

Just clean fantastic sound with the i7

Will report futher about the Acer i5 reboot, studio or just Ubutu 14.04

Enjoy

Hi guys

I run Hqplayer on an old I5 dual core 2.2mhz cpu and like to buy a new laptop

Question is?

What cpu do i need to be able to run all heavy Hqplayer filters to upsample to DSD 128 ?

For now upsampling to DSD 128 with -2s filters is not a problem Higher settings are stuttering

Enjoy

Almost, there is one extra bugfix in the final build and the manual was updated regarding key installation instructions...

Hi Miska,

Do we need to convert the key for the other platforms

In my case Ubuntu update does not accept 3.17

Rgds.

Why? I have several Ubuntu 16.04 LTS based systems and it installs fine. No changes in packaging since 3.16.x...

Hi Miska

On Ubuntu Studio 16.04 LTS

Download opens softwarecenter page indicating 3.17

But when i push the install button nothing happens and the number changes to 3.16.4-62

A friend has the same problem

Oops, my apologies, I grabbed the preferences screen shot when the DAC was off. Here it is again. I have not emailed Piero at audiolinux. The NUC/NAA and DAC work very nicely, actually, just not ASDM7EC.

I think multicore DSP grayed will do

Enjoy...

Hi,

Just a week ago i had the opportunity to compare this Chord HMS & DAVE dac and my HQplayer & RME Adi-2 dac FS combo's

Both powered by a Nord Three Purifi amplifier with Vivid Kaya 25 loudspeakers

They sounded really good

Except for my wallet i could live with both of them

I bought the Purifi

;)

Enjoy...
