crisnee
That's interesting, Harpy. 40 years ago I bought an LP "To Delaney From Bonnie" which I played until it was so thin you could hear both sides at the same time. The LP got lost in a move somewhere along the line and I recently replaced it with a CD that was produced in Japan. I played it and thought it sounded harsh, and hated how the remastered file pushed the singers into the background and how the channel balance was wrong. So, I went on a hunt and found an first release of the vinyl and discovered to my surprise that it didn't really sound much different than the new CD. I can only guess that I was listening through some sort of haze when I was 25 years old, or, the new components are just doing a much better job of revealing detail in either media. It's going to take me some time to reconcile all of this and get my brain back into the nostalgic mood that I hoped would have come as a result of unwrapping the new CD. Weed? I'm glad you mentioned Delaney and Bonnie. I did the same to Accept No Substitute, wore it damn near through that is. The album with E.C. was pretty good too--I'm listening to it now. I missed To Delaney From Bonnie somehow though. Chris Link to comment

crisnee
PopPop, speaking of Accept No Substitute, if you don't have it and like it, you might consider getting it. It sounds much better (SQ) than their other albums and it also happens to be my favorite of theirs (at least side one of the lp). It's available on MOG, so you can check it out there.
