Gareth
AO is software engineering that has been thoroughly conceived with attention to usability. Installing and using AO is described in detail in the manual which gives confidence to try it even when you are not a computer expert. After carefully reading the manual and preparing the hardware/bios, AO was installed without major difficulty in Windows Server 2012R2, single pc, ultimate core mode along with Foobar, Jplay, BHE and Fidelizer Pro. Once you have used the service tool several times to go in and out of core mode, AO becomes straightforward to use. The sound quality does not disappoint. In fact it’s the best I’ve ever obtained from a computer. Digital glare has almost completely disappeared. Bad quality and old recordings (e.g. Tom Jones 24 Hours, The Beatles, respectively) were previously unlistenable because of treble harshness, whereas with AO, they have become listenable (although still not perfectly ‘analog’). Fidelizer Pro has a positive, additional impact. Audio drivers have a huge impact on sound quality too with asio, KS and jplay drivers sounding different. I can listen to the music now.
