beetlemania
24/96 from HDTracks. I downloaded the 24/96 and 24/192 versions directly from the 2L test bench and was really taken by the performance even tho' I'm not much of a classical fan. I went with the 24/96 version because I'm not sure I could distinguish the two in a blind test and, even if I could, there's no way the 24/192 is worth a 50% premium. Anyhow, this is really an amazing performance (especially the D major Allegro), absolutely mesmerizing. To top it off, the recording quality is top shelf. To use Stereophile's rating scheme, I give it 5 stars for both performance and sonics. Very highly recommended even if classical might not be your first choice of genre. Well done 2L (and HDT).
