seeteeyou
FYI - we could find powerbank from Deboch and Lifemate with USB outputs http://www.deboch.de http://www.lifemate.no/en/content/power-eagle-hb-r06 http://www.amazon.com/Lifemate%C2%AE-HB-R06-Powerbank-External-cellphone/dp/B00EKEKQDS http://www.lifemate.no/en/content/power-eagle-hb-r06-0 http://www.amazon.com/Lifemate%C2%AE-HB-R12-Powerbank-External-cellphone/dp/B00EKF79DM http://www.lifemate.no/en/content/power-lionhb-r24 http://www.amazon.com/Lifemate%C2%AE-HB-R24-Powerbank-Portable-cellphone/dp/B00EKFPPLA A cheaper alternative is Dummy AA + LiFePO4 AA batteries http://www.rayovac.com/Products/Portable-Power-Chargers/PS73-Portable-USB-Charger-Battery-Power-Pack-for-iPhone-Android-Micro-USB.aspx http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rayovac-Battery-Powered-USB-Device-Charger-8-AA-Batteries-/251542140081 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Rayovac-PS73-4B-Rayovac-7-Hour-4-AA-Alkaline-USB-Charger/26359020 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Rayovac-Battery-Power-Pack-for-Mobile-Devices-2-Pack/32104302 http://www.amazon.com/Rayovac-PS73-4BT6-iPhones-Android-Micro-USB/dp/B00D2ZQ6ZI http://www.amazon.com/Rayovac-7-Hour-Power-Back-Up-Charger/dp/B00HFJYH5S Link to comment
seeteeyou
Let's discuss the differences between each and every eye pattern as linked below http://mvicha.sweb.cz/test%20USB%20kabelu.pdf http://mvicha.sweb.cz/test%20USB%20kabelu%202014.pdf Link to comment
seeteeyou
Two companies in Asia are willing to customize the length and they're asking just a bit more for the regular 10-meter ones. We just have to send them an e-mail and figure out how much international shipping would cost etc. First one is Opti Cloud: http://www.opti-cloud.com/us/contact-us.html http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=38623946535 Another one would be Adnaco-SU1 but they're longer carrying that in 2015, actually they're merely the reseller of products that were manufactured by Everpro to begin with: http://www.everprotech.com/Contact/17.aspx http://www.amazon.cn/s?ie=UTF8&me=A2P6YZ7S98C08&page=1 Basically we just get a relatively short cable that's terminated with the same male type "A" connector on both ends. Plug one end to USB 3.0 port on the source (USB 2.0 ones will NOT work at all so let's bear in mind) and then another end will go into the input of this Everpro USB2.0-USB3.0 adaptor: http://www.amazon.cn/Everpro-USB2-0-USB3-0-adaptor-长芯盛-USB2-0转USB3-0适配器/dp/B00K5NADIQ Now we still need to feed that adapter with nice and clean 5V LPS since the sound ain't any good with the included wall wart. The size of its DC barrel is 4.0-mm / 1.7-mm so we'll have to make the right DC cable as well. Finally we just add that type "A" to type "B" coupler between the output of the adapter and input of USB DAC, or an existing USB cable would work as well. Excellent track records so far in Hong Kong since many of us here are loving the positive results: http://www.post76.com/x2/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=190707 If that were a bit too much work and we'd rather have something similar to that Corning flavor, they're also willing to customize the length for this particular version and their reply was 0.5m as the minimum: http://www.amazon.cn/Everpro-USB3-0-Hybrid-AOC-长芯盛-主动式混合光纤数据线-10米-20米/dp/B00R17ICNW It does cost more @ almost 200 bucks (i.e. 1098 RMB) a pop for 10-m ones and definitely a little bit more than that for shorter ones. seeteeyou
Yes, indeed. Only the ones from Opti Cloud / Adnaco / Everpro are kinda weird since they're ONLY good for sources with USB 3.0 ports. Same deal with Unibrain (way too long as well, LOL) and an extra adapter is required for DAC with USB 2.0 inputs http://www.unibrain.com/products/usb-3-0-active-optical-cables/ Corning is all set with USB 2.0 on both ends but sometimes USB hubs are required for some devices. seeteeyou
If your USB DAC / DDC were actually requiring 5V for handshake or bus power, that could be injected with stuff like this https://ifi-audio.com/products/idefender3-0/ http://www.fidelix.jp/technology/HiFi USB filter.html Of course we've gotta feed that with an excellent source of power https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=565126246341 https://www.ebay.com/itm/LT3045-Four-Parallel-Regulated-Power-Supply-18650-Battery-5V-2A-Upgrade-LT3042/323416429481 Even better LiFePO4 batteries from A123 https://www.amazon.de/A123-APR18650M1-1100mAh-2V-LiFePo4/dp/B00C698TDS https://www.amazon.fr/A123-Systems-APR18650M1A-18650-Batterie/dp/B00C698TDS https://www.amazon.it/Systems-APR18650M1A-18650-LiFePo4-1100mAh/dp/B00C698TDS https://www.amazon.co.uk/Systems-APR18650M1A-18650-LiFePO4-1100mAh/dp/B00C698TDS https://www.ebay.pl/itm/A123-APR18650M-A1-1100mAh-3-2V-3-3V-LiFePo4-Akku/322138065404 https://www.fasttech.com/product/1208601-a123-systems-18650-lifepo4-1200mah-high-discharge Cornan 1 Link to comment
seeteeyou
Plenty of audiophiles in China and Hong Kong tried those USB cables from Intona and the feedback seemed to be unanimously positive so far, one of them actually tried a plethora of high-end USB cables and Intona Ultimate turned out to take the cake https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=570753836367 http://www.headphoneclub.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=718090 http://www.headphoneclub.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=718546 http://www.hiendy.com/hififorum/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=117935 http://www.hiendy.com/hififorum/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=121379 Maybe signal integrity ain't snake oil after all? seeteeyou
It's mighty interesting to see how they managed to improve SQ after that 5Gbps Lindy USB 3.1 Gen 1 cable was replaced by 10Gbps Delock USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable http://www.my-hiend.com/vbb/showthread.php?5404-走向超值而極緻的-HI-FI電腦訊源(連載)&p=235687#post235687 https://www.delock.de/produkte/981_Typ-A-Stecker---Typ-A-Stecker/83981/merkmale.html?setLanguage=en https://www.delock.de/produkte/981_Typ-A-Stecker---Typ-A-Stecker/83982/merkmale.html?setLanguage=en https://www.lindy-international.com/0-5m-Cromo-USB-3-0-3-1-Cable-Type-A-A.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=36625 https://www.lindy-international.com/1m-Cromo-USB-3-0-3-1-Cable-Type-A-A.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=36626 Here's the setup back then when Delock wasn't available yet, they're also taping all USB 2.0 pins for the sake of SQ http://www.my-hiend.com/psycho/U3TT.jpg http://www.my-hiend.com/vbb/showthread.php?5404-走向超值而極緻的-HI-FI電腦訊源(連載)&p=228538#post228538 Relatively new DACs (such as iFi Pro iDSD) do support USB 3.0 and therefore it's no longer necessary to add any adapters http://www.adnaco.com/doc/Adnaco-SU1-DS.pdf https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=535913193820 https://www.lindy-international.com/USB-2-0-Adapter-for-USB-3-0-AOC-Cables.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=42682 Link to comment
seeteeyou
https://trptk.com/studio/ Quote Furutech is an important partner not only inside, but also outside of the studio bubble, by supplying us with power supplies, cables and accessories. Thanks to their Daytona 313E power filter and e-TP609E NCF power distributors, the risk of wobbly power grids and its accompanying noise in a recording environment such as a church is close to zero. Same goes for their cables. Furutech has custom-made a set of microphone cables to the exact specifications of TRPTK, with connectors made out of exotic materials such as rhodium and carbon fiber. It’s safe to say these cables are one of a kind and among the best in the world. Speaking of cables, the NCF Boosters are some of the most important tools in the TRPTK toolkit. These boosters lift cables off the floor to minimise the risk of electromagnetic interference. This, combined with their revolutionary NCF Technology makes sure we can record at extreme quality levels without being hindered by any surroundings. Link to comment
