designmule
Hello Recently I have purchased two XRCD24 CDs. Lee Morgan "Tomcat" and Sonny Clark "Cool Struttin" both are indicated to be XRCD24 discs. When I rip them using iTunes they import as 16 bit files. I think this is correct for XRCD24 discs as I believe they are mastered using a 24bit transfer and the disc does not contain 24bit data. But can anyone confirm that this is normal? Thanks for your help Matt Nvidia ION running JRiver 21 on Win 7 - USB to Firestone Audio Bravo USB to SPDIF Converter. Optical to miniDSP NanoDigi eq/crossover. SPDIF to 2 Cambridge Audio DacMagics. Thanks for your help Matt You are correct. The XRCD titles typically mastered by Alan Yoshida are quite excellent sounding but they are all standard CD 16/44.1. "A mind is like a parachute.
