Yes because you are saying that judging accuracy of a recording on a home audio system isn’t possible. I think it is the best way to judge it, and better than relaying on measurements alone. Measurements can be of used thou, but not for telling if it is a convincing reproduction of the original sound or not.

I use my ears to identify mains noise. You can also measure it. For me if the noise doesn't have a notable negative effect on sound that I can hear, I do noting. If it dull the sound I do.
