I sometimes have a problem with individuals songs from a download

Recommended Posts

Recently I downloaded an album from Qobuz. The album was "Borboletta" (Santana). This album has the particularity of having almost no interruption between tracks. There are songs I like (not all). While I keep everything I rip or download on 2 backups, I have a third HDD on which I only keep the songs I really like to listen to.

When I have the physical CD, it's not a problem, since I rip all CDs as an "image" with EAC, then I have each song physically extracted from it (EAC). Then I make a pass through all songs, checking the beginning and end (of each song). If one overlaps the next, I can load the CD image with Audacity and redo the divisions (with the help of the cue file).

The problem I had with that specific album (Santana) is that the divisions were not really done correctly (at least for a few of them). There were a few cases where the next song was beginning at the end of the previous one...

I have learned since that it was possible to "concatenate" the individual files, but wondered if it would be interesting to be offered the possibility of choosing between the whole image (with it's cue file) or the individual files (as it is)... ? Of course this would apply only for an entire album...
