I have been thinking about solutions to archive vinyl to DSD now that I have a Lumin that can handle DSD. In the past I had thought about the Korg MR1000/2000. The Sony PCMD100 looks interesting as it is a field recorder and therefore has some potentially other uses (like field recording...duh). Does anyone have experience with using the D100 to rip vinyl to DSD? I would like to understand the workflow. Of course ripping vinyl is a real time process...but if I record to DSD is there an easy way to divide into tracks and tag the files? I know there is a track button on the D100 but that would mean having to hit it in real time while recording...That would be pretty prone to error. Maybe you can transfer the DSD files to my Macbook Air and perform track splitting and tagging there? I am just trying to determine if this is a good path to go down or look elsewhere (i.e. ADC and Vinyl Solutions, Korg MR2000, etc) Thanks for your input
