Squeezebox touch and gapless playback question

From doing some searches, I think I know the answer but I want to be sure.

 

I've been ripping my CD's using dbPoweramp to FLAC (also AIFF in case I go with a Mac based approach) in advance of making a decision on a music server.

 

The files are being sent to a Buffalo Linkstation Pro NAS and I'd like to stream from that location.

 

Am I to understand correctly, that the FLAC files should already be tagged as gapless (if that's what they are) and I won't have to do anything if I stream them to a Squeezebox Touch? I've been going into the AIFF files via iTunes and tagging the appropriate files as gapless. Do I really not need to do anything with the FLAC files at all?
