Empirical Audio Off ramp 4 versus Wavelink USB to SPDIF converter

I got the M2Evo Hiface and connected it to my Bryston DAC through AES/EBU. Was quite disappointed with EVO Hiface (albeit I did not use a separate linear or battery power supply). Hi res files in fact sounded better when played through the bryston USB that can only handle unto 48Khz sampling rate. Wondering what my best option is for playing hi res files on the Bryston (accepts till 192kHz on non-USB inputs). Any thoughts on the Wavelink versus Empirical Audio Offramp 4?? My dealer does not have any of these for me to demo.
