Mick The Kraken
I headed over to Amazon to [finally] purchase a Musical Fidelity V-Link, and... Lo and behold, the V-Link is down to $119 from $169. drystream
Audio Adviser has them for that price too; I ordered one yesterday. I wonder if there's a new model coming out and the sale is to clear out inventory? iMac/Pure Music => USB => Wyred 4 Sound DAC-1 => Van Alstine Ultra EC preamp + Ultra 550 amp => VMPS 626R + Adire sub Link to comment
Mick The Kraken
Maybe a new one in the V-DAC II's silver finish or something? Audio_ELF
Doesnt seem to be a price reduction in UK - still £90 (~ $145) Eloise Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
bikemig
The v can is down to $119 or so as well; my guess is that musical fidelity is clearing out some inventory. cbutch
Eloise, I just found one (and only one) vendor selling it for £79 in the UK including delivery which makes it nearly as cheap as on the other side of the pond. When you're talking these prices every penny counts! I'm not sure if citing vendors is against the rules, but suffice to say a quick Google will find it. It would be a cheap and easy way to upgrade my adaptive Beresford DAC so it is tempting.
