thelsuman
Has anyone tried using a toslink signal booster & if so, did it affect the quality of the original signal (good or bad)? Link to comment
Brian A
Isn't optical toslink rated for something like 1000 feet? Fiber is what connects Asia to North America. (I wasn't aware there are consumer level optical repeaters.) Peachtree Audio DAC-iT, Dynaco Stereo 70 Amp w/ Curcio triode cascode conversion, MCM Systems .7 Monitors Link to comment
Audio_ELF
TOSLink is rated for 4.5m. General fibre optic connections can be rated for 100s of miles... But that's totally irrelevant to TOSLink specifications. Eloise Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
