Help! cant get sound out of usb - GOT IT !

using a macbook, I lost output capability to my vlink through usb. I went into audio midi and when I came out of it only macbook internal speakers worked. Even after choosing vlink in preferences. It says "this device has no output controls". I'm stuck. any Ideas?

Well a little more research and I was able to fix the problem. Turned off macbook. Took the battery out for 15 min. Then rebooted in safe mode and got back USB output but only in Itunes. Went back into Pure Music preferences

and made VLINK the default and that did it. Apparently many mac users have had this problem.
