spdif from toshiba a350 laptop

hello the other day i plugged a minijack headphone into my laptop and noticed that it has spdif output which i would like to run to my mufi x dac v8 spdif single rca digital input. The dac is presently usb connected,sounds great but would like to try high rez files through the digital connectors. Will the laptop be a source of jitter or will there be no problems? thanks john
