haziz
Does the Squeezebox Touch support Apple lossless (ALAC) natively? I realize that Squeezebox server is able to convert ALAC to FLAC on the fly but I am asking about native support in the player. If yes I may favor using ALAC (mainly to ease use on an iPod), without having to make multiple format conversions and keeping track of which was converted to what in a very large music library. I will be feeding an external DAC from the Squeezebox Touch coaxial output. Thanks. Sincerely, Hany. Link to comment
soundsolutions11
Hello Hany! The new SB Touch firmware and software update at the end of last month which is version 7.6 now has native ALAC support, I am using it right now with my attached USB HD and it works and sounds great. See a list of recent improvements to the SB Touch http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Release_Notes Link to comment
