ignatz22
My 24/96 files won't play thru my Musical Fidelity KW25 DAC. I'm using a Halide Bridge USB / S/PDIF converter and my interface is J RIVER MC15. J River plays the file, but the dac recognize the Halide Bridge output. Am I correct in assuming that this dac is unable to to accept a 24/96 file ? Would another USB / S/PDIF adapter solve the problem ? If so, why ? Thanks To All. Link to comment
jonmarsh
as with everything, double check- see if the computer plus halide bridge talks OK to another DAC and see if it works on standard CD material with the KW25. The KW25 is a somewhat unusual piece, having dual mono XLR digital inputs, in addition to TOSLINK and coax inputs. It up converts everything to 24/192, regardless of sample rate. Link to comment
