Help with Mac issue

Hey everyone,

 

I've just picked up a pair of M-audio AV 40 monitors. I'm using a macbook pro, which I know the onboard sound interface is pretty low quality. The 40's take regular line in as well as TRS input. What would you recommend to buy to get the optimal quality from the speakers? I'm hoping not to break the bank- maybe around $100, as I don't need "room to grow" as it would be strictly for this pair of speakers. My knowledge on this particular issue is limited, and it is extremely frustrating. I'd greatly appreciate any input. I'm using the speakers only for playback.

The original Music Streamer was great for 99.00. The newer version is much upgraded for not much more.

If you look on A'gon you may find one for 100.00. People swap around a lot with these cheap dacs.
