Can I connect a Lumin streamer like this?

I wish to try connecting my Lumin U2 mini to a Mutec MC3+ word clock and reclock its SPDIF AES output to my DAC - see attached diagram for connections. I should be able to do this without using the external reference 10mhz word clock in the diagram. Trying the new Mutec Reference 10 nano is the next stage providing things connect. I can play CDs from a CD transport connected as in the diagram.
