This ad is for a Wavelength Cosecant 192/24 USB DAC. This is the fancier Denominator version, which does 192/24 natively ($4000 DAC new)

It comes with a separate Mortar power supply for US electricity. I can throw in a generic power cord if you need one. Overall, the DAC is in good shape.

The Cosecant Denominator is a tube DAC. It uses a 32 Bit Sabre DAC Chip with an ECC86 tube. I will include my favorite ECC86, an A-Frame Amperex (branded Mullard, but made in Holland by Amperex). I did a lot of tube rolling and this was a clear winner to me!

This DAC is USB only (with the better sounding low jitter asynchronous protocol that Gordon Rankin invented) and works flawlessly. No click, no pops, no weirdness of any kind. It is recognized immediately by my Mac Mini (I use Amarra). It will read anything up to and including 192/24.

I compared this to a few things, including two versions of the Wavelength Brick and the R2R Holo Dac Spring 1 KTE edition (level 3), and I liked it a lot better than those. I am a professional musician and this DAC is hard to beat. It’s very right sounding, for lack of a better term. It is natural yet detailed.

I have another Wavelength Cosecant, and I am downsizing.
