Description:
The new Young MK4 MQA DAC-Preamp gives you total control of the music from your sources to the amplifier and then to the speakers. With a wealth of input channels and extensive control options, you have full command on your audio system, with the greatest confidence that the quality of the original music material is delivered to the speakers without any detriment. Whether your source is a computer, a smartphone, a DVD player or a turntable, the Young MK4 delivers a crisp and alive analog sound, to drive any amplifier at its best. You control it by the front panel encoder, using the remote control or by your Android smartphone via the same wireless connection which allows you to stream audio.
Streaming lovers will enjoy the high quality ensured by MQA©, while smartphone users will take advantage of aptX©.

Van Der Graaf MkII: Its very low output noise (comparable to that of a Li-Ion battery), even at rated load, allows for incredibly silent sonic background and finest detail resolution, markedly improving every powered product's performance. Fault-proof robustness is achieved by solid-state, automatically resettable fuses (polyswitch). In order to optimize the powering sequence of the units connected to the Van der Graaf, the user can program the activation sequence of the used outputs.

The Ear: “That this DAC is presented in a small box with relatively straightforward styling undermines that fact that it is a remarkably good sounding and capable converter, especially when combined with the upgrade power supply. If the pairing were encased in 20 kilos of machined aluminium you would expect the price to be at least four times what’s being asked. The feature count is greater than virtually all other DACs and the sound quality puts the Young MkIV and Van Der Graaf as the same footing as alternatives at far higher prices. Take it from me, this is an audiophile bargain.”
