just_me Posted December 1, 2022 Share Posted December 1, 2022 I hope this is the correct place for this query. I have a USbridge and Revolution DAC. Its primary use is as a Roon endpoint with Roon bridge. More often i also want to airplay to it. The airplay client is installed an active on the RPi. I can select the dietPi on my laptop of phone. But nothing comes through to the DAC.Switch back to Roon and it works. Airplay works on both phone and Laptop to another device. Can anyone point out an obvious error, some special configuration, or a known problem? TIA, G Link to comment

just_me Posted January 6, 2023 Author Share Posted January 6, 2023 OK, this is pretty disappointing. But i did find the problem, and it was quite simple. Maybe this will help someone else. In the standard Allo DietPi software release the "sound card" is, inexplicably since its an Allo product, set to [something]. What you really want is "USB DAC". Presto change-O. Grant Link to comment
