mrdrew
I came across a few road blocks while getting this puppy up and running. I hope this post helps someone. I pulled the SD card, and used Balena Etcher and the instructions on Volumio website for installing the SD card. https://volumio.com/en/ Got that dialed in, and I wanted the little screen to work. Checked the manual https://www.allo.com/sparky/boss2-player.html#downloads Page 6 of 7 refers to the "Front panel Display/OLED configuration:" and steps for installation are here: http://3.230.113.73:9011/Allocom/Boss2/Boss2_oled_install_steps You'll need to ssh to the volumio box. I used putty for windows. Username: volumio, password: volumio https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html Those instructions. I'm going to make a few edits for correctness and brevity here... Quote I'll go ahead and download and attach that little file, just in case. But remember, you need that file on the player, not your desktop. So using the steps and wget is easier. I wasn't able to attach the file: hopefully the glorious server at 3.230.113.73 lives on! After a few reboots, I couldn't get back in to dig up some info for this post, SSH had been disabled. You can reenable it by visiting: http://192.168.11.89/dev where 192.168.11.89 is the IP of your volumio player on your network, then you can hit "ENABLE SSH" bob's your uncle. https://volumio.github.io/docs/User_Manual/SSH.html Link to comment
