CD collection ripped to WAV..anyway to preserve metadata?

I have just finished ripping cd's..500 gig to a 1Tb USB External Hard Drive. I have been using Windows Media Player 11 ( XP pc), ripping to WAV files, and have hair pulling issues...meta data not recognized. I have fixed all metadata for the external hard drive and the original PC laptop used for ripping. Plays well through a VDAC.

 

I was trying to use a 2nd PC laptop to play the music in my high end system. The album art and track info is all over the place...with most missing or unknown. It has been frustrating not to be able to find out what I am doing wrong scouring, WMP formums etc. I suspect it is a "Sync" issue, but can not figure it out.

 

Is there software like dbpoweramp that would clean this up without RE-Ripping?
