Shanti output to 12v

hi All,

 

Just wondering if it's possible or a good idea to step up the 5v out of the Shanti to 12V so that it can power my RME Dac which needs atleast 9V?

 

There are step up units that one can get but I don't know if that would re-introduce noise?

 

Or anyone tried to modify for one of the rail to output 12V?
