MJH
I have an AVAA C20 on its way and a DSP setup incoming. I have some nice 6" thick bass traps around the studio too. I just bought a few rolls of Knauf EkoRoll. At some point I'll turn them into proper hollow traps, but for now they are quick and dirty / trial and error cylinders of RS45 rockwool. What kinds of placements would you experiment with, for different effects? As rolls of rockwool, they're velocity based, right? Porous / broadband. Does that mean they'd be best in areas of high velocity / low pressure? Or should I put them in the high pressure areas, i.e. behind the monitors? They are still wrapped in their plastic, so only really letting lower frequencies into them. I'm putting them behind the bass traps which are dealing with the high frequencies. Would you stack them floor to ceiling, as a high column, or have them covering more locations around the space, less high? I have 5 of them, by the way. 2 of them is a floor to ceiling stack. Powerman
Any corner work... I didn't find a density for that... What is it. Did you ever get things placed? Link to comment
