Volt + D : stepped attenuator gone crazy

Hello,

 

When changing volume with stepped attenuator, then volume jumps erratically from min to max.

Just touching the knob (without turning) also make the volume jump randomly.

It seems like the stepped attenuator is faulty. The issue has been progressing during the last 3-4 weeks to the point where the amp is not usable anymore.

 

Please help.
