DAC from receiver

Hello all, always a pleasure to find out more on audio here!

 

So, I own a (very) modest Kenwood receiver KRF-V4550D and yes it has nothing to do with high-end.

lol

Anyway; onboard there is a 44.1/48.00 Khz DAC that receives digital from coaxial and optical. So I want to know if I can use the DAC inside, and output the analogue signal via one of the numerous 'REC OUT' 2xRCA outputs featured on this receiver.

 

Any advice or tips on how to get the most of this old but cool product are welcome.
