Enicar Posted January 15, 2011 Share Posted January 15, 2011 Sharing a new experience. When ripping in my Windows PC I ran into problems with some CDs. These CDs were "playable" but came out with a strong digital distortion. Same result when trying to rip. No problem in my Marantz CD-receiver. It turned out that all of these CDs were produced by Reprise Records. (Aimee Mann, JJ Cale/Clapton, Neil Young, Michael Bublé) Recently I bought a Mac Mini and started ripping using its CD drive. I gave the "unrippable" CDs a chance and it worked just perfectly fine. Seeems my Samsung CD RW drive in the Win PC don´t fancy Reprise Records. .. and the bits just keep on comin´./MacMini/iTunes/Spotify/E-DAC(ODAC)/SB Touch (for Internet radio only)/Marantz PM-KI Pearl Lite/ Amphion Argon1 Link to comment
