DacMagic not recognised sources from USB

Hi all,

I just purchased Cambridge Audio Dacmagic. It work find with CD player and I used Coaxial cable way of connection. I employed Marantz 6003 with USB port infront of the panel. Unfortunately the Dacmagic does not produced any music from my tumbdrive attached at the front panel when selected, and I noticed there were non of sampling rate light are on. So frusted than I connected my Mac to Dacmagic via USB to rear of Dacmagic. same thing noticed. No sampling light appeares and no music produced from the speakers. Can someone advise me what to do next. Is my newly bought Dacmagic faulty or any other thing that I missed.

Did you set the output to the dacmagic in Audio Midi Setup on your mac? I can't comment on the Marantz, but if the mac recognizes in Audio Midi the dacmagic and there is still no output then I'd suspect a defect.
