Nuc+Mac Security concern..........................

What are the security concerns when integrating a Nuc music server into a Mac ecosystem?

I currently run Intego antivirus/net barrier on my multiuse iMac.   The iMac has finances,photos

LMS music server etc.  For simplicity's sake I would prefer to use the same router for the Mac

and Nuc.
