Thanks however Im using the RJ45 adapter not fiber. I used the amazon link provided on the post. 
 

Ethernet to OpticalModual to RJ45 adapter Ethernet out to UltraRendu to DAC.

Does the TP Link im using need to be 1000gigabit fir this to work?

Just a quick update. The TPLink upgrade worked. Sounds immediately great!
