Cheap Thrills - Nuforce Icon uDAC

This was the best $99 I ever spent on an audio gadget. The sound out of an office iMac through a decent receiver was less than thrilling. I have Peachtree envy, but like to listen to analog FM sometimes & didn't want to toss a perfectly good receiver, so I used the analog output and complained.

 

There was a little blurb about the Nuforce uDac in MacWorld so I tried one. An instant and incredible step up for the price, more than fine for an office. I see they have refurb units at NuForce.com for $79.
