Similar odds here in Aus, maybe less, certainly none of my friends have ever heard of one. Worst still I've yet to find anyone serving inside an Apple retail store, supposedly technically savvy people, who know what a DAC is. 

 

We are very much a niche hobby, one of the reasons why the majority of people don't care about hi res and compression and hi res, they simply don't know about it.
