Sennheiser HDVA 600/HDVD 800 and low impedance headphones

Hello all,

 

I know a couple of regulars here on CA use the Sennheiser HDVA or HDVD headphone amps. The match with high impedance headphones appears to be just what I'm looking for, but I don't want to limit myself to just high impedance headphones. Do any of you have experience with the HDVA 600/HDVD 800 on low impedance headphones, such as Grado or Fostex? If so, can you share a few words on how well they match?

 

I currently use a Grace m920 and Focal Spirit Classics. I listen mostly to classical and would like to try some top tier headphones in the near future, although I haven't settled on which yet. Consequently, I'm looking for a standalone headphone amp that will work well with a wide variety of headphones - e.g. Sennheiser HD 800, Beyerdynamic T1, Grado PS1000e, Fostex TH900.
