Oppo 103/router/networking question

Hey folks,

 

In my search for a solution without blowing out my wallet, I was wondering if this would work: If I had a "smart router" and connected a thumb drive, external HD, or a NAS and connected via Ethernet to the Oppo BDP103, then the Oppo connected via coaxial to the Peachtree NovaPre, would it work? If yes, could I control everything with Jriver? If yes to that, could I still use the DSP functions if need be?

 

It's going be be a few months before I can build CAPS and purchase I good NAS. I'm slowly putting together to pieces of the puzzle of networking and computer audio..........
