Cheap Dac

I'm a cheapskate and lately on a budget so I recently purchased a DAC from Maplins to try with my Vortexbox player. It was reduced to £29 so I thought it worth a punt. I tried it with my Vortexbox and was surprised just how good it sounded.Interestingly, it's an unfashionable adaptive type but will play up to 24/96 via usb. For fun I thought I'd try it with my Squeezebox Touch with EDO installed.I didn't really expect too much but it appears to better than the internal dac via coax.

Has anyone tried this dac and, if so, what are your observations?
