DAC versus Chip Set cross reference

Has anyone made a cross reference of which commercial DAC or Amplifier uses which Chip Sets? I have been looking at Chip Sets and found the most recommended were

 

If optical used (not much good even at or above 96kHz) TORX147

S/PDIF or AES input to I2S bus, CS8414

I2S to Analog, WM8741, AD1995, CS4349, PCM1796

 

Or is anyone going 100% digital like STMicroelectronics STA331 (I2S to PWM), and STA510 (class D output)?
