Who's used the Audiophile Optimizer for Windows 2012 Server or Windows 8?

Recommended Posts

I tried to install that asio driver but I couldn't because the driver installer don't support win2012 server r2. :(

Maybe there is a way to install but I couldn't get it.

I also tried to setup my mac mini to work with core-mode once and I don't know why but everything gone bad and I had to format everything from the beginning. I'm afraid to try it again, it's very time consuming for a person like me to do that because I'm not a windows user for years and I also love it sooo much :)

Hello

Open the folder and try the setup file inside the folder

Windows Server 2012r2 use WIN8.1

I'll try that in my first free day. Thanks for the advice. I hope I won't need to reinstall everything from the beginning again. :) I really want to hear the music from core-mode...

I myself have the same problem with some drivers I have.

I install drivers this way

Hi

no, not needed very often. But its a good point to do it before you set up a computer.

mostly vendors stop delivering new BIOS's as fast as possible, meaning only fee months after a mainboard was released. So you definitely won't have to update it "all the time".

best,

phil

I opdated bios before i install AO first time.

Here is a brief overview, what has been updated since I updated.

Enhance compatibility with some M.2 device: I dont use this M.2 slot

Support NVMe: I dont use this M.2 slot

Fix card reader KCR-318 hang POST issue: irrelevant

Implement 5th-Generation Intel Core Processors code: my CPU is Haswell

Enhance the compatibility with some CPU Fans: No fans at all

Support ASUS USB 3.1 PCIE add-on card: I dont need

Support new CPUs: my cpu is compatible

Enhance compatibility with Broadwell CPU: my CPU is Haswell

Best regards Haakon

I also use Schiit Gungnir Dac and I can't success on installing asio driver. I want to try installing it again because I want to listen in core-mode.

When I open the cmedia zip file for asio driver, there are sub directories like win7, win8, win8.1 and I really don't know which sub directory should I choose to install the right driver for Win 2012 server R2 on a mac mini.

The only thing I know is that you should use setup file inside Win 8.1 directory

to install.

Windows Server 2012r2 = Windows 8.1 driver

Hi

Is it possible to create boot menu in core

Instead of starting in for example JRiver, it will bring up a menu.

Option 1: JRiver (or whatever you have chosen in advance)

Option 2: Tidal

If you want to choose again, you have to make a restart.

If you not choose something shortly, starting options 1 automatically.

What will this mean for Windows 10 users

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14942 for PC

Service hosts are split into separate processes on PCs with 3.5 GB+ of RAM: If your PC has 3.5+ GB of memory, you may notice an increased number of processes in Task Manager. While this change may look concerning at first glance, many will be excited to find out the motivation behind this change. As the number of preinstalled services grew, they began to get grouped into processes known as service hosts

JRiver is developing a 64bit version
How will it work on Win 2012r2 Core

From Change log
23.0.70 (10/6/2017)

1. Changed: When loading tracks for album memory playback, a wait message will display if it takes more than one second.

Has not installed this 64bit version, as it is still only beta version.

Will I have trouble if the message comes?

Do not feel I got an answer to my question

If I install Audiophile Optimizer in GUI
I do not have any problems with that

But in CORE, how do I install Audiophile Optimizer?

In core, I can not click on any installation file

Is it like installing in MS-DOS?

For me, I just save the AO exe file to a USB drive. These are commands I use the most often

CTRL +SHFT+ESC to bring up Task Manager.  From there I run the command cmd to open a command prompt

cd.. is my best frend!

TAB to autocomplete

Arrow up to recall previous commands

Good luck!

Thanks for the help

with that software, you won't need much ram -- 8 gb should be plenty.  running windows 10 with similar software only used 1-2gb.  for a hard drive, again, won't need much -- 128gb is more than enough (assuming you're storing media elsewhere).

It's not the RAM I'm asking for.

but Disk size, i have 128GB on my Server 2012r2

The question is whether the 32GB SSD is big enough for the upgrade system

Win 2016 Core

AO

Sotm driver

Dac Driver

JRiver 24

fidelizer (optional) if space on disk

For OS disk, my 16GB SSD has been just enough but can be marginal sometimes.  32GB imho is plenty enough.  I'd spend saved $$ from small disk size (32GB) on high quality SSD (SLC comes to mind).  My two cents.

I'm considering buying one

Micron MTFDDAK032SBD-1AH12ITYY

Found this 32GB SLC to 120Euro
is it an ok disk
