syganymede Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 By the way, if you have iTunes with 24bit/96kHz music and an Airport Express, then using AirTunes you can switch iTunes to stream music to the AE, BUT as soon as you switch on the remote speakers in iTunes it switches all output, INCLUDING the computer direct output to down-sampled 16bit/44.1kHz. BUT if you output iTunes to the Airport Express using Airfoil (not Air Tunes and the AE output selection within iTunes) and then check the iTunes direct output (sent to Soundflower then to Soundscope to see it) then it is not down-sampled! How little things are sent to try us. Or am I doing something wrong? Link to comment
