sabrehagen
Hi, I have some DVDA discs, but no DVD player. I also have my DAC hooked up to my computer. What is the best software to play DVDA discs on my computer with? I'm currently using VLC, but after using software like JPLAY, I know better audio is attainable. Is there dedicated, or better software for DVDA playback? Thanks very much! Link to comment

serendipitydawg
Hello all! I have been reading this wonderful forum for ages and I have joined up to answer sabrehagen's question. You need the foo_input_dvda component installed in foobar2000. Plays DVD-A's like a charm. Been a while since I did this last, so I am listening to American Beauty by the Dead on a cheapo DVD drive attached to my disk-less net-top PC as I type this. abfunk
I too have some DVD-A discs that I was able to rip to a lossless FLAC format on my Mac. A DVD drive should read the DVD-A discs. I used the dvd audio extractor to rip the tracks. Link to comment
