Chip S
Hi Folks, I need some help transferring iTunes to my new server. I have already copied the media/music files to an external HD, for it to work with server do I just copy the library files to new HD? Or download iTunes on new server and copy old library to it? i have found lots of info on moving iTunes but not when it's split. What I want is all my programs- Windows 8, iTunes, JPlay and db power amp on one drive and music on the other. Thanks for any help, Chip Chip Link to comment

Chip S
Thanks jackfish! What I'm unsure about is do I DL iTunes to new server then copy the library to it or does copying the library take care of that? Chip Chip Link to comment
jackfish
I believe once you have all your media files where you want them, and you set your media and library locations, you use consolidate library. 13.3" MacBook Air, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD; iTunes/Bit Perfect; MacBook Air SuperDrive; Western Digital My Book Essential 2TB USB HD; Schiit Bifrost USB DAC; Emotiva USP-1, ERC-1 and two UPA-1s; Pro-Ject Xpression III and AT440MLa; AKAI AT-2600 and Harman Kardon TD4400; Grado SR80i; Magnepan MMG Magnestands; and, Rythmik Audio F12 Link to comment
