waas
Hello. I hooked up my new V- Link 192 to my DAC, only to find that my Burson won't "accept" 176.4 or 192 samples. I checked all the software/hardware configurations and tried both Mac and PC. The Burson is spec'd at 24/192 at the spdif port. Has anybody had issues like this? Ken Link to comment
tubesound
It sounds more like a computer setting problem. Right click the speaker icon in your system tray and click 'Playback devices'. Select V-Link > Properties > Advanced > 24/192. Link to comment
waas
The hardware settings checked out. The V-Link is locked and the 192 light is on. Pure Music is playing the 192 file...the Burson justs mutes the sound. Link to comment

waas
Yes, Alex at Burson contacted me and said "It sounds like the receiver chip on the DAC PCB has failed." He's sending me a new DAC PCB. Thanks Alex! Link to comment

Thanks Alex! that's good news and great customer service. I've been thinking about adding another dac to my other room and this dac is in my list of choices which include the W4S DAC 2, BenchMark HDR or a Wadia product The Truth Is Out There Link to comment
waas
The DAC PCB arrived in the mail yesterday. I got the chance to install the new board today. Fairly simple procedure...it works perfectly now. Link to comment
