Foobar2000 take 10mins to process my 176.4 wav files.

I have an external DAC (DAC1 pre) and am trying to feed it a bit perfect stream using media monkey and foobar2000.

 

When I use Foobar2000 with Reference Recordings 176.4k wav files, foobar just sits there and "processes" the files for 10 maybe 15 mins!

 

Is this normal or do I have something mis-set?

 

System:

Duo-Core2 266ghz

4gig RAM

XP SP3

500GB hard drive

Sound Card: HTOmega Claro Plus (CMI8788)

Video Card: ATI 4550

 

Can't think of any other facts I can give you all!
