echibas
I have my Mac connected to a Meridian surround processor. I get excellent PCM audio reproduction. However, the surround tracks from DVD's reproduced from the Mac do not output to the Meridian. I only get the PCM, even when I chose the other tracks in the audio menu. Can anyone help me to reproduce the surround tracks? Link to comment
davidR
Echibas, how is your computer connected to the processor? Have you tried using the program Win DVD? david is hear[br]http://www.tuniverse.tv Link to comment
echibas
I have two connections: 1. the digital out 2. a MOTU 828mkII, which is much better, allowing upsampling to 96k, although with DVD's I use 48k. They both do into digital inputs of the Meridian, which recognizes Dolby or DTS from DVD players. However, from the Mac I only get PCM. I haven't tried Win DVD. Does it run on the Mac? echibas
Looking into your suggestion, I was able to get Dolby and DTS out using VLC player. I had been using the DVD player, but the VLC has more options. Thank you very much! Link to comment
