James1776
I just got my latest 'Absolute Sound' and it has a review of the new Micromega new AS400 integrated amp/WIRELESS Dac. The review is pretty complete and the company is very well thought of BUT, am I missing something here? The machine is designed specifically for use with iTunes. It only does wireless (a great idea) and has a 24/192 Hi-Rez DAC built in. One cannot connect to the device in any other way which means the Hi-Rez DAC is utterly useless until and unless iTunes advances into this decade and supports Hi-Rez. This toy is not cheap. It is almost $5K...Why in the name of all the Gods of HiFi would anyone buy a device like this limited to CD quality playback???? Am I crazy or should the thing at the least have included a Toslink input? I have found you an argument; I am not obliged to find you any understanding – Samuel Johnson Link to comment
